Did you know there are seven basic movements the human body can perform? All other exercises are merely variations of these seven: Pull, Push, Squat, Lunge, Hinge, Rotation and Gait. When performing all of these movements, you will be able to stimulate all of the major muscle groups in your body. Children like to run, roll on the ground, imitate animals and make various sounds. Let them enjoy their favourite activities in a safe environment in our class!
Training is organised so that we can explore movement, build strength, motorics and coordination through play and soft acrobatics. The goal is to let children evolve into youngsters that feel comfortable in and with their bodies, enjoy acrobatic elements safely, understand nonverbal communication and various music rhythms.
We explore legends of capoeira and dive into the tales. We play percussions, sing songs and learn portugese language. Capoeira opens the doors so kids can learn to express themselves freely amongst their peers.
An important part of Capoeira is its social note which bridges the generation gap. Children and parents experience movement, music and play together. They become connected on a completely new level. Even though training for parents is structured differently – with emphasis on the best possible biomechanical solutions to build up joint strength and body motorics – they are still in the same room. Kids and parents play the instruments and sing the songs together so both generations gain – parents revive spontaneity and kids learn about structure.
